Historic trams of Belgrade
Vehicles remembered not only as machines, but as part of the changing city.
MUZEJ JAVNOGPREVOZA BEOGRADABelgrade Museum of Public Transport
A museum of Belgrade’s public transport, urban mobility and everyday city life.
The museum is now open online. We are building the first digital collection and working toward opening our permanent home in the historic Dorćol Depot.

01 / What we collect
Public transport carries more than passengers. It carries the graphic language, working knowledge, daily rituals and personal memories of Belgrade.
Vehicles, infrastructure and life along the tracks
Electric mobility and the streets it shaped
Routes connecting neighbourhoods and generations
Fares, typography, signs and visual systems
Networks, vanished lines and changing geographies
Passengers, workers, families and everyday stories
02 / First collection
The first digital collection is being researched, attributed and cleared for publication. These are the opening lines of enquiry.
Vehicles remembered not only as machines, but as part of the changing city.
The place, its working transport function and its possible future as the museum’s permanent home.
Small printed objects that reveal how Belgrade explained movement, price and identity.
Memories of passengers and former and current public transport workers.

03 / Our future home
We are working toward opening the museum’s permanent physical home in the historic Dorćol public transport depot.
The physical museum is not currently open to visitors.
Visit the museum online04 / Why Dorćol
Dorćol Depot is part of Belgrade’s living transport landscape. It is infrastructure, workplace and a setting in which the city’s mobility story can be read at full scale.
That continuity makes it a natural future home for a museum about vehicles, labour, design and everyday urban life. The museum’s physical form will be developed carefully and in dialogue with the transport and museum community.
05 / Share your story
A family photograph, a saved ticket or a memory of a daily route can become part of the city’s shared record.
06 / Stay informed
New objects, calls for stories and the museum’s next digital chapters will be announced through Ambasada za urbanizam.
